A lifestyle gift store based in Matarangi Beach

Over the 2024/25 summer season, I had the pleasure of working with Matarangi General Store — a beautifully curated lifestyle gift store based in Matarangi Beach. My role focused on launching and managing their social media presence, bringing the essence of the store to life online through visual storytelling and a cohesive digital aesthetic.

This wasn’t just about posting pretty pictures. It was about creating a digital experience that reflected the store’s relaxed, coastal, and elevated style. Matarangi General Store isn’t your average corner shop — it’s a thoughtfully curated destination offering fashion, homewares, wellness products, and beachside essentials. From artisan ceramics and gourmet treats to sunhats and summer totes, every product tells a story — and I wanted their Instagram and Facebook feeds to tell it just as beautifully.

Using a mix of my own photography, curated brand content, and custom-designed visuals, I transformed their social media into a space that felt welcoming, on-brand, and inspiring. Each post was designed to echo the store’s personality — warm, stylish, and full of soul — while offering value to their community and followers.

Content was seasonal, community-focused, and carefully planned to highlight the incredible brands stocked in-store — many of them small businesses and boutique designers that align with the General Store’s aesthetic and values.
